Good digestion is the key to good health, and a healthy colon is a sign that the digestive system is working as it should.

Guidelines for healthful eating

  • Eat, whole, unprocessed foods.
  • Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, cooked and raw.
  • Avoid margarine; use butter!
  • Eat sufficient protein from eggs, meat, poultry, fish, and dairy foods.
  • Use whole rather than refined grains.
  • Avoid commercial salad dressings and refined oils; make your own salad dressings with extra-virgin olive oil.
  • Eat organic foods as much as possible.
  • Use natural sweeteners in moderation, such as raw honey, maple syrup, and dehydrated cane-sugar juice.
  • Consume lacto-fermented vegetables, such as sauerkraut; beverages; and condiments regularly.
  • Make homemade broth from meat and poultry and use them as a base for soups and stews. The gelatin in this broth is beneficial to the colon.
  • Use Quinton America ’s oral isotonic solution regularly for energy, to eliminate toxins, and revitalize your body’s cells. Please Contact Us for more information and to order.

March/April 2010 Nutrition Tip

Freshly ground flaxseeds can help relieve constipation and hemorrhoids. Use 1 tablespoon mixed into 1 cup of warm water every morning before breakfast. Ground flaxseeds help to soften the stool, and they provide valuable omega-3 fatty acids. Be sure to drink sufficient purified water throughout the day as well.
